Source Water Protection Workshop - Pocatello

This is a discussion-based class with group work and interaction. This course is meant to help you protect the drinking water sources for your community. Bring your City Council, Mayors, city and county Planning and Zoning folks to help learn about source water protection. In this class we will:

  • Access online resources for your water system
  • Learn to use maps showing your drinking water protection area
  • Learn to identify potential contaminants that could impact you
  • Learn how susceptible your source is to risk
  • Review water quality data
  • Develop protection strategies and learn how to make a formal plan
  • Hear about Idaho regulatory news
  • Learn about Managed Aquifer Recharge in Idaho
